In the Beginning...
Oak & Arrow Studios was founded in 2014 by entrepreneur, carpenter, and designer, Dominic Korab. We first launched as Pallet Life: a cost-effective, green furniture design initiative for dorms and student housing. The process consisted of restoring used pallets and repurposing the lumber into rustic, durable furniture for student life. Pallet Life transitioned into Oak & Arrow Studios in 2015, expanding to meet the demands of a broader market.
About the Site
Here at Oak & Arrow, our focus is on inspiring rustic design in the world today. To ensure that you have every opportunity to find the piece that will suit your life, we provide you with 3 options: Shop, Customize, or Create.
Shop is where you can view our designs and current product line. All products in the Oak & Arrow Shop have been designed and created here in Studio. Some of our pieces are available in our permanent collection, while others are the only of their kind.
Customize is where you can take our designs and customize them to your liking. We want to customize our Oak & Arrow design to fit perfectly in its new home with you. With this feature, we give you the opportunity to input your design ideas to every stage of the manufacturing process. From what wood we use, to what finish it has, to what size it is, to the final decorative touches, you can customize as much as you want until it’s your perfect Oak & Arrow piece.
Create is where you email us your design dream. If we haven’t designed it yet, give us the chance to design it for you! You’re the designer. Through our create page, we provide you with the chance to work together with our studio to create your own rustic design pieces. In Create, you begin the process by sending us your ideas on how we can create a rustic piece of furniture or home/work feature piece for you. We’ll ask you for every detail we need to accurately create your piece including sketches, picture examples, detailed explanation, dimensions, materials, and more. We'll draw up a product sketch before beginning any work to ensure that it is exactly to your taste.
Oak & Arrow Studios was built on the foundation that new is not always better: what was once great, can be great again. Here at Oak & Arrow, we believe strongly in the green movement towards environmental sustainaibility. As global natural resources deplete, we have taken the intitiative to do our part in reducing deforestation and excess waste. That's why all wood used in the studio consists of restored pallet and barnwood. The rustic metal additions that we add to each piece are likewise recycled from a product's previous life.
